Big News, Dunedin!

Dunedin Pride is entering an exciting new chapter.

After years of growth, community support, and celebration, Pride in Dunedin is officially transitioned to an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization: Dunedin Pride Inc.

This move marks an important step forward for the LGBTQIA+ community in Dunedin and across the region. As an independent nonprofit, Dunedin Pride Inc. will be able to expand its reach, strengthen its impact, and create even more inclusive, community-centered programming that supports, uplifts, and connects people throughout the community.

What began nearly 10 years ago as Northern Pinellas Pride helped bring renewed energy and visibility to the LGBTQIA+ community, recognizing the many individuals who played a vital role in shaping the welcoming, vibrant spirit that makes Delightful Dunedin what it is today.

“We are incredibly grateful for the community’s role and the City’s support in bringing Pride to Dunedin,” said representatives of Dunedin Pride Inc. “As we move forward, we are energized by the opportunity to grow into a more community-driven organization and to expand the ways we serve and celebrate our diverse community.”

Dunedin Pride Inc. is looking ahead with purpose and pride, committed to building a future centered on inclusion, celebration, and meaningful community engagement for years to come.

The official kickoff event for this new era will be Family Pride Day in the Park on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
